The Boardman ADV JNR 26" is a junior adventure bike inspired by Boardman’s award-winning adult ADV series—designed to offer young riders a fun, confidence-building ride whether they’re heading to school, riding with family, or exploring new paths at the weekend.
At the heart of the bike is a lightweight, triple-butted aluminium frame with smooth welds for strength without excess weight. The geometry is carefully considered for younger riders, featuring a single down tube design to improve standover clearance—ideal for those still growing in confidence and skill. The matching alloy fork with chromoly steerer adds durability while keeping the front end light and responsive.
The drop handlebar setup may look grown-up, but it's designed to suit smaller hands, offering multiple hand positions for comfort and better control on longer rides. Mechanical disc brakes from Tektro deliver reliable stopping performance in all conditions, while the reach-adjustable levers ensure young fingers can brake safely.
With a Shimano Claris 8-speed drivetrain, controlled by Microshift shifters, your child will have smooth, simple gear changes at their fingertips. The wide-range 11-34T cassette makes it easier to climb hills or cruise on flat roads. The 26” wheels are wrapped in Vee Speedster 1.5” tyres, which roll fast on tarmac but still have enough grip for light trail use.
Extra touches like a double chainguard help keep the drivetrain secure and clean, while full mudguard and rack mounts allow for practical upgrades if needed.
