The Giant Escape Disc 1 is a flat-bar all-rounder designed to fit seamlessly into everyday life while encouraging riders to explore further. Its ALUXX-grade aluminium frame is strong yet lightweight, using butted 6061 tubes for efficiency and durability. Fitness-oriented geometry puts the rider in a confident, upright position, ideal for commuting or longer rides.
A carbon composite fork with Giant’s OverDrive tapered steerer enhances front-end stiffness for precise steering and smoother handling. The combination of alloy frame and carbon fork strikes a great balance between comfort, efficiency and control across a variety of terrains.
Shimano’s new CUES 10-speed drivetrain offers smooth shifting and a wide 11–48T gear range, making climbs more manageable while giving plenty of speed on the flats. Paired with a forged alloy crankset and durable KMC chain, it delivers reliability and efficiency for daily use.
Stopping power comes from Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm Giant MPH rotors front and rear, providing confident braking in all weather conditions. The wheels use Giant’s double-wall alloy rims with stainless steel spokes, wrapped in Giant S-X2 700x38c tyres with puncture protection for added peace of mind on urban streets or light gravel.
Practical features include integrated mounts for racks and mudguards, making it easy to set up the Escape Disc 1 for commuting or light touring. The Giant D-Fuse seatpost adds extra compliance to smooth out rough roads, while the Giant ErgoContact saddle and flat bar provide comfort over longer rides.
