The Giant Escape Disc 3 is a versatile flat-bar bike that encourages everyday riding, whether that’s commuting, fitness or weekend exploring. Its ALUXX-grade aluminium frame uses 6061 alloy tubing for a balance of low weight, strength and durability, while the steel fork adds stability and resilience. Rack and mudguard mounts make it easy to set up for practical, year-round use.
Rider positioning is upright and confident, thanks to Giant’s Fitness Geometry, making it comfortable for longer rides as well as daily errands. The D-Fuse seatpost adds extra compliance to help absorb road buzz and improve comfort over rougher streets.
Shimano’s 2x8 drivetrain provides a broad 16-speed range, with a 30/46T chainset and 11–34T cassette giving plenty of gearing for climbing hills or maintaining pace on flatter sections. Gear changes are handled smoothly by Shimano Altus shifters with an easy-to-read optical display.
Braking power comes from Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm Giant MPH rotors front and rear. They offer reliable stopping performance in all conditions, giving peace of mind on busy city commutes or wet-weather rides.
Rolling on 700c Giant alloy rims, the bike is fitted with Giant S-X3 38c tyres with puncture protection. These wider tyres offer a smoother ride and more grip on varied surfaces while helping protect against flats.
Finished with Giant’s ErgoContact saddle and flat alloy bar, the Escape Disc 3 delivers a comfortable and practical setup.
