The Giant FastRoad AR 2 is built for riders who want an efficient bike that’s easy to live with day to day. The ALUXX-grade aluminium frame uses single-butted tubing to balance low weight with durability, while the flat-bar design puts you in a more upright position that feels confident in traffic and relaxed on longer rides.
A composite carbon fork helps absorb road vibration and sharp bumps, improving comfort on broken tarmac and cycle paths. At the rear, dropped seatstays and a D-Fuse seatpost add further compliance, helping smooth out rough surfaces without dulling the bike’s responsive feel.
Wide tyre clearance allows the FastRoad AR 2 to run high-volume tyres up to 42mm. It comes fitted with 40mm tubeless Maxxis Re-Fuse tyres, offering dependable grip, added comfort and a reduced risk of punctures across mixed road conditions.
The Shimano CUES 1x9 drivetrain keeps things simple and robust, with a wide 11–41T cassette that makes hills manageable while reducing maintenance compared to multi-ring setups. Hydraulic disc brakes from Tektro provide consistent stopping power in all weather, adding confidence for commuting and year-round riding.
With integrated rack mounts, comfortable finishing kit and stable handling, the FastRoad AR 2 is well suited to commuting, fitness rides and weekend exploring, offering a practical and versatile alternative to a traditional drop-bar road bike.
