The Giant Reign 2 is built for riders who want to push further into technical terrain and ride with confidence when the trail gets steep, fast or unpredictable. With its long-travel suspension and adjustable geometry, it’s designed to handle a wide range of enduro riding.
At the heart of the bike is an ALUXX SL aluminium frame, combining strength with a balanced weight for durability on demanding trails. The Maestro suspension system delivers 160mm of rear travel, offering a controlled and efficient ride whether climbing or descending. A trunnion-mounted Fox Float Performance shock increases stroke length for improved sensitivity and support through the travel.
Up front, the Fox 38 Rhythm fork provides 170mm of travel, helping absorb bigger hits and maintain control on rough descents. Together, the suspension setup offers a composed feel over technical terrain without feeling overly harsh on longer rides.
The geometry can be fine-tuned using Giant’s Maestro 3 flip chip system, allowing you to adjust head and seat angles, bottom bracket height and even switch between 27.5-inch and 29-inch rear wheels. The stock mullet setup (29” front, 27.5” rear) balances stability with agility, making it easier to handle tight sections while maintaining confidence at speed.
A Shimano 1x12 drivetrain combines Deore shifters and cassette with an SLX rear mech, offering reliable shifting and a wide gear range for climbs and descents alike. Shimano Deore MT520 four-piston hydraulic disc brakes provide strong, consistent braking with large rotors for added control on steep terrain.
The Giant TRA 2 wheelset is tubeless-ready and paired with aggressive Maxxis tyres, including an Assegai up front for grip and a Minion DHR II at the rear for traction and braking control.
Additional features like integrated downtube storage and a dropper seatpost make the Reign 2 practical for longer rides and varied terrain. Overall, it’s a solid choice for riders looking for a capable and adaptable enduro bike that can be tuned to suit their riding style.

* Mountain bikes are sized differently to road bikes. Typically, they are sized in inches as the first MTBs were produced in the USA. European brands like Lapierre and Haibike like to use centimetres for all their bikes. The measurements of their mountain bikes doesn’t match their road bikes but are like a simple conversion from the inches measurement. This is why we have included cm measurements in brackets for the Mountain bike column.
Read our bike size guide for more information on sizing.

Bike and delivery was great, had a few teething issues on the first ride. A lot of parts came loose ie - disc bolts, 1x rear calliper bolt. Expected on the first ride. Besides that, fantastic customer service with outstanding delivery!
