Well designed and well made, this Giro cap is very good. It isn't bulky so easily fits under a helmet, and I find that the peak combined with my Oakleys keeps cold headwind off my forehead, adding to the feeling of warmth compared to what I get if just wearing a peak-less skullcap. Plus the pull down flap at teh back covers the ears and back of the neck very well, keeping cold draughts out when worn with a buff. Merino stays warm even when it gets wet, and after a mid-ride cafe stop it doesn't stay cold for very long as a cotton cap would do. Mine is completely black with a small red Giro logo stitched onto the peak. Good price, well worth it. Now my favourite off-season hat.
