The Marin Trail XR 29 is Marin’s no-compromise long-travel enduro bike, purpose-built for steep descents, technical trails and big days in the bike park. The “XR” stands for “Xtra Rad” and with its carefully chosen high-end suspension and component package, this bike more than lives up to the name.

At the heart of the Trail XR 29 is a Series 4 6061 aluminium frame with 160mm of rear travel via the proven MultiTrac LT suspension platform. It’s paired with a 170mm RockShox Zeb Ultimate fork, giving you superb small bump sensitivity, support, and control on hard-hitting terrain.
The RockShox Super Deluxe Coil Ultimate shock brings trail-tuned coil-sprung plushness, with custom spring rates depending on frame size for a dialled-in feel straight from the showroom. The frame also features an adjustable head tube angle and chainstay length, allowing riders to fine-tune geometry to suit their trail preferences or terrain.
The mixed wheel setup—29" front and 27.5" rear gives the best of both worlds: rollover confidence up front and playful manoeuvrability out back. It’s equipped with Maxxis Assegai tyres, tubeless-ready with EXO+ and DoubleDown casings for grip and durability in aggressive conditions.
Drive comes from the trusted SRAM GX Eagle Lunar 12-speed drivetrain, with a massive 10–52T cassette giving you range for winch-and-plummet climbs and long alpine descents. Braking is handled by powerful SRAM DB8 4-piston hydraulic brakes with 200mm rotors for confident, fade-free stopping power.
Other highlights include a TranzX dropper post (up to 200mm travel on XL), Marin’s CNC 35mm stem, wide 800mm alloy bar, and the cleverly integrated Bear Box downtube storage, complete with a zippered nylon bag for trail essentials.
