The Merida Big Nine 3000 stays true to the classic hardtail formula while adding modern features that make it an outstanding cross-country bike. At its core is the CF3 III carbon frame, designed with lightweight efficiency in mind but built tough enough to handle demanding off-road terrain. With Boost axle spacing for added stiffness and tyre clearance up to 2.4”, the frame delivers precise handling and the responsiveness riders expect from a high-quality hardtail.

Up front, the RockShox Judy Gold fork provides 100mm of travel, with an air spring for easy adjustability and a remote lockout for efficient climbing or sprinting on smoother ground. Its tapered steerer and 51mm offset add to the sharp, controlled handling on technical trails.
The drivetrain is built around Shimano’s Deore M6100 12-speed groupset, delivering smooth, reliable shifting with a wide 10-51T cassette paired with a single 32T chainring. This setup gives you the range to power up steep climbs and maintain speed on descents without the complexity of a double chainset.
Braking is handled by Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, equipped with 180mm rotors for consistent stopping power and control in all conditions. Whether you’re navigating steep forest descents or flowing singletrack, you’ll have confidence in your stopping performance.
The bike rolls on Merida Expert CC II aluminium wheels, tubeless-ready with a 25mm internal rim width for better tyre support. Paired with Maxxis Rekon Race 29x2.25” tyres, the setup is fast-rolling yet grippy, making it ideal for XC racing or endurance riding.
