The Merida One-Sixty FR 800 is the freeride-ready member of the One-Sixty family – designed for maximum fun, durability and control when the terrain gets steep and technical. Built from Merida’s Lite III aluminium, the frame is rated to Category 5, making it strong enough for bike parks, enduro racing and the roughest trails. It carries a 5-year frame warranty, while its Agilometer sizing concept allows riders to choose frame reach independently of height, so you can size up or down for your preferred handling style.
Up front, a RockShox Zeb Ultimate fork delivers 180mm of stiff, supportive travel with tunable air spring and damping, while at the rear the RockShox Vivid coil shock provides 171mm of plush, consistent performance – perfect for absorbing repeated hits and big landings. The suspension system is designed to get more progressive as frame size increases, ensuring the right ride feel for every rider.
The drivetrain is Shimano’s proven Deore 12-speed, with wide 10–51T gearing for tackling climbs when needed and durability to withstand aggressive riding. Braking is handled by SRAM’s powerful Maven 4-piston system, paired with oversized 220mm front and 200mm rear rotors for unbeatable stopping confidence on descents.
DT Swiss F1900 wheels are tough and tubeless-ready, paired with a mullet setup: a 29” Kryptotal-F Enduro Soft up front for grip and rollover, and a 27.5” Kryptotal-R Downhill Soft at the rear for traction and manoeuvrability. The combination gives the perfect balance of speed, grip and control.
The finishing kit is designed for strength and rider confidence. A Merida Expert dropper post comes fitted, with size-specific travel up to 230mm, and cockpit components include wide 780mm alloy bars and a short 40mm stem. Even the Merida Comp SL saddle uses recycled content without compromising durability.
The One-Sixty FR 800 is built for riders who prioritise descending performance, park laps and technical trails over chasing grams. It’s a bike that thrives in demanding conditions, delivering reliability and control with a playful freeride edge.
