I used one of these panniers for a hotel to hotel, 4 day 460km ride, of part of Velomaritime in Northern France. The trails were variable, mostly tarmac, hardpack and some light gravel. The bag (was used with an Ortleib Quick Rack), worked really well. Loading, once you've set the clamps / jaws to the correct size (a few different inserts are included for different diameters), is as easy as guiding it on, literally lower it into place in seconds. The shape is good to help pack your gear and can full pairs of shoes. The shoulder strap is useful and tucks neatly onto the frpnt of the bag for travel. Generally very impressed. We saw many other European riders and many, many Ortleibs panniers, including Back Rollers. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
