The Rockhopper Comp 27.5 is built around Specialized’s Premium A1 aluminium frame, designed with hydroformed top and downtubes to balance low weight with strength. The frame also offers generous standover clearance, neat internal cable routing, stealth rack mounts and dropper-post compatibility, giving riders scope to upgrade and adapt as their riding progresses.
Up front, the RockShox Judy Solo Air fork smooths out rough trails, with travel matched to frame size (80/90/100mm) to ensure consistent performance and handling across the size range. Paired with geometry tuned for control and comfort, the Rockhopper is as confident on twisty singletrack as it is on longer climbs and descents.
Shimano’s Deore 1x12-speed drivetrain delivers simple and reliable shifting with a wide-range 11-51T cassette for steep climbs. The clutch-equipped Shadow Plus rear derailleur keeps the chain secure and the ride quiet. Stopping is handled by Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, offering consistent, intuitive power on technical trails or in wet conditions.
The wheelset combines Specialized Alloy tubeless-ready rims with reliable Formula hubs, giving a strong yet lightweight build. Ground Control 27.5x2.35” tyres provide dependable grip and fast rolling across mixed terrain, making the bike ready for both trail centres and backcountry exploring.
Finishing touches like the comfortable Bridge Sport saddle and Body Geometry pedals make the Rockhopper Comp ready to ride straight out of the box. With its blend of proven components, trail-ready geometry and modern features, this bike is a capable, confidence-building hardtail that delivers quality performance without overcomplication.
