Up front, the RockShox Judy SoloAir fork with TurnKey damper delivers between 80–100mm of suspension travel depending on frame size, giving riders the right setup for comfort and control. Its air spring allows fine tuning for rider weight and preference, adding adjustability that goes beyond entry-level hardtails.
The drivetrain is SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed, paired with an 11–50T cassette to provide a huge gear range for tackling everything from steep climbs to fast fire roads. The 1x setup keeps things simple, with a clutch-equipped derailleur that holds the chain securely over rough terrain.
Braking is handled by SRAM DB4 4-piston hydraulic discs, providing powerful, consistent stopping performance with an intuitive feel. The wheelset is tubeless-ready with a 25mm inner rim width, paired with 29x2.35” Specialized Ground Control tyres for grip, traction and speed across a range of conditions.
Finishing touches include a Body Geometry Power Sport saddle for comfort, a durable alloy cockpit and a reliable 2-bolt seatpost. Thanks to Specialized’s size-specific approach, every Rockhopper frame is paired with the optimal wheel size for the best possible fit and handling.
The Specialized Rockhopper Expert 29 is aimed at riders ready to take their mountain biking further. From flowy singletrack to more demanding trails, it offers the efficiency, confidence and modern kit needed to progress skills and enjoy every ride.
