Trek Checkpoint ALR 3 Gen 3 2026 - Gravel Bike

The Trek Checkpoint ALR 3 Gen 3 is designed for riders who want one bike that can do it all, from gravel adventures and bikepacking to everyday commuting. Its 300 Series Alpha Aluminium frame combines durability with responsive handling, and with modern endurance geometry, it offers a stable and comfortable riding position that’s perfect for long days in the saddle. The frame also includes smart touches like internal cable routing for a clean look, a 3S chain keeper, and extensive mounting points for racks, mudguards, and frame bags. With clearance for tyres up to 50mm, you can adapt your setup for mixed surfaces, comfort, or speed.
Key Features:
- 300 Series Alpha Aluminium frame, endurance geometry, 50mm tyre clearance, bag mounts
- Full carbon fork with tapered steerer, rack and mudguard mounts
- Shimano CUES U6000 10-speed drivetrain with 40T chainset
- Tektro C550 mechanical disc brakes, dual piston design
- Bontrager Paradigm 23 tubeless-ready wheels
- Bontrager Girona Pro 700x42mm gravel tyres with GR tread
- Multiple mounts for racks, mudguards, and accessories
- Available with 0% APR finance
The bike is paired with a full carbon fork that absorbs vibrations and smooths out rough surfaces, keeping fatigue at bay on long rides. Rack and mudguard compatibility further enhance its versatility, allowing you to set it up for multi-day trips or all-weather commuting.
At the heart of the drivetrain is Shimano’s CUES U6000 10-speed system, offering crisp, reliable gear changes and a wide 11-48T cassette range to tackle everything from steep climbs to fast flats. The 40T chainring provides a balanced setup for gravel and road use, while the Praxis T47 threaded bottom bracket ensures long-lasting performance.
Stopping power comes from Tektro C550 mechanical disc brakes, with dual piston calipers that give you consistent, confident braking across gravel paths, descents, and city traffic. They’re also easy to maintain, making them a practical choice for mixed-use riding.
Rolling on Bontrager Paradigm 23 tubeless-ready wheels, the Checkpoint ALR 3 Gen 3 is ready for adventure straight out of the box. The wheels are paired with Bontrager Girona Pro 700x42mm tyres, built with a gravel-specific tread pattern and puncture protection for grip, speed, and peace of mind on varied terrain.
Finishing kit includes a Bontrager Elite Gravel alloy handlebar for stable control, a Verse Short Comp saddle for comfort, and a Blendr-compatible stem for neat accessory integration.
