Better GPS Coverage
With multi-band GNSS technology the 1040 and 1040 Solar offer better coverage under dense tree cover, on remote mountain trails or even urban canyons. This means that you get more accurate GPS positioning for navigation and ride mapping, especially in challenging environments that trouble traditional GPS computers.
Streamlined Interface
Accessing the information, courses and tools is easy thanks to the streamlined interface of this new Garmin Edge®. Setup has been simplified too, so it’s easy to adjust data fields right from the devise itself or from your paired smartphone.
Power Glass™
The Edge® 1040 Solar has a Power Glass™ solar charging lens that extends the battery life. It adds up to 42 minutes per hour in battery saver mode and up to 20 minutes per hour in demanding use cases. In sunny conditions you get up to 100 hours of use in battery saver mode or 45 hours in demanding use.
Manage Your Efforts
The 1040 has features to help you ride at your best. These include Stamina which offers insights into your ride, so you can keep an eye on how much longer you can push it, and power guide which recommends power targets throughout a course.
Ride Like a Local
Improved ride type-specific maps highlight popular roads and/or trails as well as searchable points of interest. You can also connect to your favourite apps like Strava, Komoot, Trailforks and more.
