Lightweight and Affordable
The All-new Chisel is a lightweight, capable and affordable full suspension mountain bike. The frame is 18.4% lighter than its closest competitor which will help riders fly up the climbs. It's capable too with the suspension and efficient geometry making it feel at home on downcountry trails as well as when venturing to gnarlier terrain.
Chisel Models
The Chisel range features two models; the Comp, which we feature here, alongside a more affordable base version. All Models feature 29inch wheels, which deliver faster rolling speeds on bumpy trails, with Specialized Ground Control, Fast Trak and/or Pergatory tyres depending on model. Each bike also gets 12-Speed x1 drivetrain and hydraulic disc brakes for efficient shifting and confident braking on a variety of off-road terrain.
D'Aluisio Smartweld M5 Alloy
The aluminium frame features D’Aluisio Smartweld technology which delivers the highest strength at the lowest weight, by using stiffer joints with less flex offers a lightweight and responsive ride. With the flipchip and progressive XC geometry based on the Epic 8, the steep seat tube angle positions the rider in the optimal pedalling position and the most comfortable position for those technical trail sections.
Chisel is now full suspension
The Chisel is equipped with 120mm front suspension and 110mm rear. The Chisel EVO features a longer travel 130mm fork for taking on rougher terrain. The flex stay rear end offers riders similar efficiency and control benefits as carbon flex stay frames. All Chisel models include compression damping adjustment/lockout on the front & rear shocks.
Dropper Post
Both Chisel models come equipped with a TranzX dropper seat post offering adjustable travel, meaning riders can move their saddle out of the way to gain more confidence and control on technical descents and terrain. The length of drop will depend on the size of frame you choose.
